author’s comments: No, Alyson, twin hijinks never go well!
Hey! In case you haven’t checked it out yet, look at my donation gift minicomic!
I know I’ve been pushing this hard lately, but thanks to all my wonderful readers, I’m only about $75 away from being able to pay my rent, and I was already able to pay my electricity bill. You guys are super awesome! If you’re on the fence, know that you would be helping me so much! If you want to contribute, but don’t like Sarah and Graev, the next side story will feature Maddie and Quinn and you can also preorder it for $10. And if you don’t like porn, but would like to make sure I can pay my rent, you can also donate, just leave a note with the donation. And again, if you’ve donated, but haven’t heard from me, let me know!

I’m definitely willing to give Alyson the benefit of the doubt. I hope she doesn’t mess up too badly.
When the next story comes out will the Sarah and Graev one become unavailable?
Yeah, believe in Alyson! It’s probably a good idea.
And nope, I’m planning on making the Donation Gifts section of the site have a choice of things at a variety of donation levels, so this side story will always be available, and so will the next, etc. So if people really want this one, but aren’t in a place they can get it now, I hope they can get it someday!
I really, really like their profiles.
Thank you! I’m one of those infrequent artists who’s better at drawing profiles than straight on faces, in my opinion, anyway.
Hmm, my trans intuition tells me it won’t be good if she finds out Sarah’s trans :/ Hope I’m wrong, especially since I’m an Alison too and I don’t like sharing my name with assholes
I hope my Aly doesn’t disgrace your name, in the end!
Hey, love the comic and long time reader, have commented a few times and made arts before. However, I do have a critique, more of a suggestion, and it’s not even something that’s just in this comic, and something I’ve done myself. When Allyson and Adrian are talking to each other here, they’re talking side by side facing the reader in a 3/4 perspective. Have you ever had a conversation with someone in real life like that? Save when standing in line together? People usually talk face to face, like in the panel where they’re drawn in profile. It’s something I’ve noticed a lot of comics do, and it works fine for showing both characters expressions in a single panel, which works great for limited panel comics like gag a days. Honestly, it works for this comic too as it seems to be a limited panel comic too, like a drama strip in a newspaper.
If you wanted to make the comic more cinematic though, you could have over the shoulder shots alternating between characters to depict conversations, or even just depict a single character in a panel. This would increase the panel count in each comic though probably, which you might be trying to avoid, but it’s something to think about.
Regardless, great comic and your art has really been improving. I really liked the close up on Alyson in the last page, and her hair style looks great these last few pages. That’s one thing you do really well in the comic is give each character a distinct style, but constantly show them in different clothes and hair while still being recognizable.
I think that people do converse in the 3/4 (or more like 2/3) fashion you describe, when they are walking together somewhere. Otherwise they’d run into each other. So in the first three panels I read them as walking together, in the fourth panel they have slowed down and are beginning to turn, and in the fifth panel they’ve fully stopped and are facing each other.
(edit) OK, so they’re clearly not walking in the first panel. I guess what I mean, is that as shown in the previous strip, they are clearly in transit to somewhere. And when I take these two strips together I see them as having one of those (sometimes frustrating) walk-stop-walk-stop conversations. In a few of the panels (like the second and third ones here) I read them as walking a few more steps (Aly is leaning a bit forward in panel 3 as if she could be walking).
