author’s comments: First thing, I want to point out that last week, the comic went up on Thursday instead of Monday (I had a busy weekend). Please go back and make sure you read it! I don’t know if it got so little attention because no one knew it was there or because it was just boring.
I hope this one’s not boring? I guess it kind of is! Time-passing montages are, I guess, but they’re so time consuming! This one took like, 12 hours, ugh. I’m so done with it. There are lazy parts, I’m not even going to look at them. But there are cute things, too! Quinn doing gymnastics is pretty cool (thanks reference who I think is Carlotta Ferito), right?

Uh oh, someone needs a hug!
I know, someone needs to convince Harley to leave his hair alone for a minute.
Is Harley supposed to be pointing out that he got even more piercings, or is that just an expression?
He’s doing a new thing to his hair and wants you to notice.
Redhead (I forget her name) is the only one that wasn’t part of any montage. Mayhaps she’s still having clique issues?
lol Harley’s showing her his red contacts. xD
I really like the last panel. It really shows the character dynamics at the moment. Also, @Erii, I think he’s pointing out his new piercings (two on the bridge of his nose). Yes, I did have to check back to see if he’d gotton new piercings XD
I… don’t really know what page you were looking at that I forgot those, because he’s had those since his first appearance: http://bridgescomic.com/archives/78 and in every page he’s been in since October 2011, as far as I could tell looking back through the archives. :\ But nice guess!
It’s best to read this comic with a montage song from the 80s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fWvub_WBho

What about Tyler? Will he not be included in the group?
Tyler’s a year older and more popular than these losers.
Hun I thought that Quinn would be more popular being on the Gymnastics team?
I thought the same. Wasn’t she hanging out with the “popular cheerleaders” that where basically barbie dolls?
No tyler?
The picture of Quinn doing gymnastics is excellent! Beautiful artwork! Way to go, Kris! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I appreciate it! It was actually really fun to draw.
Aww, I really like this page!
I like all of the bonding and Quinn’s hair and Quinn’s gymnastics, although I’m interested in why Alyson looks so unhappy, hmm
It’s possible that she’s unhappy due to the fact that Harley isn’t paying attention to her instead of Quinn, since she’s pointed out that she has a problem with it before.
Guys….guys….
He got his hair cut again.
Also, both Alyson AND her brother look less than cheerful in the last panel. And Alyson is DEFINITELY eye-balling Quinn there.
You mentioned something about this being a more light-hearted chapter? With tensions like that roaming around, I worry about the dynamics of the group.
Not to mention that NOBODY is paying attention to his or her significant other (however significant that person may or many not be [Sarah and Graev]); Maddie’s got the hand-on-shoulder, Harley’s not even touching Alyson, and Sarah and Graev may or may not be holding hands…probably not, but I like to imagine they are.
All in all, I feel like this montage is foreshadowing for changes in the future, and Adrian, off to the side there…a bit of a 7th wheel in some ways….he knows what’s up….he looks suspicious, and not just because Alyson is giving Quinn the death-glare for stealing Harley’s attention. I could be way off base here….but that’s what I see.
On a side note….has Alyson lost her gusto for diverse and interesting style-choices lately?
Well, only one of them looks bummed out by their SO not paying attention to them. It’s just a bunch of friends shooting the breeze. Happy times, really! Graev’s checking out the daily special at the cafeteria (fries with graevy?). And Adrian’s clearly more comfortable in a smaller group setting. So Aly just needs to get over her attitude about the “freaks and losers”.
I just realized that the last panel bears a vague generic resemblance to “The Last Supper” (a bunch of people all sitting on one side of a long dining table, displaying various types of reactions–in this case presumably to a variety of different things, not some portentous pronouncement from one of them). Coincidence or foreshadowing of potential trouble ahead (beyond Alyson’s obvious dissatisfaction and Adrian’s apparent unease)?
what’s with the twins??
I noticed that the character couples are all touching in some way or another. I also like the progression in the page and how words are not necessary when we have progressed enough in the comic.
