author’s comments: So, this is one of my favorite pages and I hope it turned out pretty well. It’s no secret that I really love these two characters and am really excited for them to meet. I took a lot longer on the art than usual, but I don’t really think it shows. :\
This is my second time drawing a bathroom background! I think the comic should only take place in bathrooms from now on. It didn’t get into any shots, but I also drew the bathroom stalls graffitied with messages about the various girls in the comic. I dunno if anyone ever goes back to the bathroom, so maybe you’ll never get to see the wonders of the bathroom stall graffiti. Alas!
I’m sort of trying to establish that Sarah bites her lips when she’s nervous or upset. References: Page 29, 28, and this page. So, I don’t have a lot of evidence. She’s no Kristen Stewart, either way.
This is still the same day as Harley and Graev’s earlier encounter, if you’re keeping track. No, he’s not killing himself because Harley rejected him, he’d just already planned to do it. I sort of imagine that when Quinn asked him to do it, he actually may have subconsciously seen a glimmer of hope when she approached him. But obviously, that didn’t pan out.
Start of another friendship? I think yes.

Haha, don’t worry, Sarah’s intervened and he’s going to be safe. I’m glad you think he’s adorable! He didn’t mean to do it in the girls’ room, see? Sarah asked him, and he actually meant to be in the boys’. He just went into the wrong door. Maybe he doesn’t use the bathroom at school much. Harley also asked him if he was transsexual earlier, and Graev said he liked his penis, but that’s definitely a reason he might want to kill himself.
Though, being a gay dude myself, I can’t help but wonder because it hasn’t really been cleared up yet. Is Graev gay?

I’m rereading Sarah’s scenes after the most recent page (and because I liked her from the start) and I think this is my favorite page in the comic. It’s funny, it’s sad, and it’s the start of a friendship between my two favorite characters. What’s not to like?

This page is cute and funny and all, but it’s also really sad
. The idea that Graev was about to take his life and leave his kind loving parents behind is quite sad. Poor Graev, and poor parents if he had gone through with it.
